~ Spiritual, chapter 2 ~
Since I was a little girl, I have had experiences that have been of another nature than we know as real or which could be explained to be natural. They could be experiences such as hearing voices in an empty room, seeing images of unreal people or beings, events occurring in real dreams, or having other kinds of visions. When I was a child all of this was explained to me as either hallucinations, fever induced visions, or just my wild childish imagination.
Also, when I was very young I had a strong interest in the stars in the sky. Early on, I taught myself the different facts about the planets in our solar system and some of the constellations' names and appearances.
When I was in my twenties, I had several experiences when I distinctly knew in advance what was going to happen in the near future. My interest in what we call "The Supernatural" grew even stronger. It was never something that I discussed with anyone. I did not want to be seen as foolish for having or talking about these confusing experiences.
It so happened that I got to know a man the same age as me who was clairvoyant and told fortunes with Tarot cards. With him I could talk of my experiences. He also told me more about "the other reality" so that I could begin to get more of an understanding about what I myself had experienced. Several repressed memories came to the surface and I began actively looking for the explanations to the unexplained. It was as if a door had opened for me. More and more of the people I got to know had had similar experiences and they also had a strong desire to talk about it. I met even more people with a deep and old wisdom.
I discovered that there are a great many people over the entire world, which are searching for the same answers as I do. The growing interest for spirituality is called "New Age". This notion is an umbrella over many different thoughts as well as a way to express this spirituality. There is an abundance of literature and material concerning "New Age". In speciality stores you will find lots of small odds and ends like trinkets, crystals, books and CDs with relaxing music. Through the years I have read as many books as I have had the time to read about different mystical phenomena such as Fortune telling with Tarot Cards, Astrology, UFO's, Crystals, Healing, Meditation, Graphology, Earth-radiation, Aura reading, Channelling etc.
